The Population Health Science Institute (PHSI), is a Specialist Research Institute at the University of Bristol. Our multi-disciplinary community spans the breadth of the university including members in the Medical, Dental and Veterinary schools, Geographical Sciences, Social Science and Law, Mathematics, Engineering and beyond. We are also proud to have links with Bristol NHS Trust, Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucester Clinical Commissioning Groups, Bristol City Council as well as many more outside of the city.
The PHSI was founded to support the growth of, and give greater visibility to, our world-leading research in population health at the University of Bristol, which ranges from basic discovery science to innovative clinical trials and policy-influencing.
The vision for the Bristol-PHSI is to nurture interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research capacity; expand research that harnesses new data science and digital health technologies; transform models of discovery and implementation science; and develop non-academic partnerships that accelerate impact.
If you would like to get more involved with the PHSI, we would love to hear from you. To become a member of the PHSI Steering Group, Events Committee or apply for up to £500 to support your research, please contact Gemma.Crawford@bristol.ac.uk
